Strong growth due to pioneering innovations
The centre of COMPO´s research and development activities in the field of fertilizers is the BASF Agricultural Centre at Limburgerhof.
Here, around 50 employees work exclusively for COMPO on the improvement of product characteristics and application technologies, as well as on the development and testing of new substances for fertilizers and potting soils. New products are tested under practice conditions in Germany and numerous other locations in Europe and overseas.
In this way, patented coating technologies represent a milestone for slow-release fertilizers. The coated Basacote controlled-release fertilizers today guarantee high quality and high crop yields when cultivating container plants in tree and ornamental plant nurseries and safeguard the nutrient supply for an entire growth period in home and garden.
